What is American Dental Plan?
American Dental Plan is one of Arizona’s oldest dental benefits plan. It was founded in the year 1978. The plan was based on the concept of reduced fee, which is considered to be the one of the most cost effective means of getting dental benefits. This means that the membership fee that you pay for the plan will give you an access to a network of statewide dental providers that will offer you discounts and reduced fee as to dental services that you normally receive from an ordinary visit to a dentist.
American Dental Plan encourages that every individual should have proper dental hygiene which is done by promoting early detection and having an ongoing maintenance. The Design
Since the year American Dental Plan was founded up to this date, it has around 30,000 members.
The price for the membership per year is as follows:
1. Individual - $54 per year
2. 2 Persons - $74 per year
3. Entire Family - $94 per year
As you can see in the membership price, you can save more if you will let the entire family be a member of the American Dental Plan. When it comes to the dental care of your family, this fee will already save you on costs and all of you will be benefited by such plan.
Membership to American Dental Plan is transferable but as to the yearly membership dues, they are non-refundable during processing the enrollment form.

Where to get the dental services?
There is a list of dental offices that participate in the plan. These offices are located in Tucson, Phoenix, and Rural Areas. Approximately, there are 500 general as well as specialty dentists that are located throughout Arizona. Most of these offices have two or more dentists and appointment can be scheduled without incurring any delay.
As a plan member, you have the freedom to choose on which of the locations as listed that you are going to receive your dental care. If you opt to change your dentist, all you have to do is contact the administrative office of American Dental Plan in order to update your card and you will be placed under the patient list of the dentist.
How do I receive my dental services?
It is easy to receive your dental services. When you are already enrolled, you will receive a membership I.D. card. All you have to do is call your chosen dentist to set an appointment and present your membership I.D. card. You will pay the dentist directly for all the services rendered. There will be an additional charge of $10 every dental appointment for the payment of masks, gloves, especially on increased sterilization techniques as provided by OSHA.
